Two o’clock in the afternoon, if you can somehow manage it, is one of the better hours of the day on Friday to actually start the weekend, whether you tell anyone or not. Decamp to WMGK mainstay/host of the venerable Breakfast With The Beatles, Andre Gardner’s Hometown Broadcast at Great Barn Taphouse in Warrington, from 2-7pm.
Later, Kricket Comedy is back at Moss Mill Brewing Company in Huntingdon Valley, with Steve Young, Lump Hamilton, Manny Brown and host John Kensil.
Saturday
The 53rd annual Yardley Harvest Day is here! This is a great community gathering filled with artists, crafters, great food, historical and educational tours, local and civic groups and businesses. Their music lineup in particular is great this year, and includes Creem Circus and Chris Forsyth (featured above).
Sunday
The Run Now, Wine Later 5K is a running race in New Hope, Pennsylvania consisting of a 5K and a lot more. For runners, running through the streets of this charming, historic town is nothing short of spectacular; and the finish line, for non-runners as well, l is a food and wine tasting festival.
Music In The Park at Sailor’s Point at Peace Valley Park in Doylestown starts at 2pm and features live music from local cover artists, Cara Cartney and Barefoot Bobby, with a special appearance from the School of Rock of Doylestown’s House Band.
Finally, Sunday night, check out Countdown To Ecstasy, the Steely Dan Tribute, at Havana in New Hope; when you get home, applaud yourself, because that is a whole lifestyle choice, my friend.
