Following the release of the Bucks County DA report last week over the February Quakertown student protest and local law enforcement’s response, The Peace Center plans August listening circle sessions aimed at shared understanding and mending the Upper Bucks community.
“An Evening of Poetry in Memory of Julie Cooper-Fratrik” brings local authors and poetry lovers together at Freeman Hall on September 3 to honor the cherished poet’s life and work.
“A lot of women have been through birth trauma and they feel vindicated and less alone with someone else who shares their story,” said Casey Keen, author, The Alchemy of Motherhood (Cynren Press, ©2026).
The event is part of a national weekend of action and aims to bring people together to advocate for social justice, voting rights and civic engagement.
“The magic of the evening is the community that is created through the sharing of the work and the discussions that follow,” said Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County Board Member Louise Levy.
