Friday, June 3: Great Barn Brewery Taphouse in Warrington has two bands playing tonight. From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., check out Dark Hollow Road, a brother and sister acoustic duo, originally from San Fransisco, who are influenced by folk music of the 60s and 70s. Then, at 8 p.m., enjoy Deal, a Grateful Dead cover band. Great Barn Brewery Taphouse is in Warrington at 1500 Main Street.

If you don’t feel like drinking beer and listening to live music, maybe head to Parx Casino to have a laugh listening to Chris Tucker. You may know him from such movies as Friday, Rush Hour, and Silver Linings Playbook, to name a few. We live in serious times, and sometimes all you can do is laugh. Tickets start at $45, and it appears from their website that there may only be one ticket left. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Or maybe, head to Shady Brook Farm for their first weekend of their Strawberry Festival. Nothing says the beginning of summer like picking your own strawberries in the field. There promises to be more than just strawberry picking there. Local band Rust is playing on the stage from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be wagon rides, food, and lots of kids’ activities. Tickets are $10 online or $12 at the gate. Shady Brook Farm is located at 931 Stony Hill Road in Yardley.

Sunday, June 5th: It looks like the weather will be a beautiful 74 degrees on Sunday. You could definitely check out the Sunday Stroll in Bristol Borough. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. stroll down Mill Street in Bristol to check out various vendors and entertainment. For the kids, there will be henna tattoos, face painting and balloon animals. Definitely have dinner or snacks there. Besides the stores and restaurants on Mill Street, there will also be some food trucks including Waffl’d, which looks delicious.

Maybe you’d rather just enjoy a day at home on Sunday. It’s officially grill season.  If you’re looking for something a little different to throw on the grill, try grilling cauliflower. Here is a recipe. If you want to kick it up a notch, buy some chili crisp to drizzle on it. Have you tried putting pizza on the grill? Definitely not frozen pizza, but if you like to make pizza, grilled pizza is amazing. You need a pizza stone or some non-stick foil, and since it’s currently strawberry season, try this for something different.
