Friday, July 22: There are a few tickets left for Foreigner, playing at the Xcite Center at Parx Casino. Sometimes it’s worth going to see living legends when you have the chance. Like many long-touring bands, not all members were in the original band. Actually, the only original member still playing in the band is Mick Jones. Regardless of that fact, the tour is called Greatest Hits, so you should get the full Foreigner experience. For an added bonus, the Bucks County Womens’ Chorus will be opening for Foreigner and singing a ten minute a capella set. Tickets for the show $45-$110, and the show starts at 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 23: WXPN is hosting its first annual Delaware Canal Music Festival. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Tinicum Park in Upper Black Eddy. Tinicum Park is located at 963 River Road in Erwinna.
With temperatures expected to be ninety-six degrees on Saturday, you might prefer a pool party. The Bucks Club is hosting a Summer Beach Party from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a DJ, cornhole, yard games, face painting, and Rita’s Water Ice. Obviously, it takes place poolside so you can stay cool on probably one of the hottest days of the summer. Food Wristbands are $22 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. The Bucks Club is located at 2600 York Rd in Jamison.
