Republican State Rep. Aaron Bernstine Wants to Kick President Biden Off the Ballot in Pennsylvania

The GOP lawmaker who in 2020 thought it was funny to share a video on Snapchat of him making his then 5-year-old son smoke a cigar and use foul language is making the rounds touting his latest bright idea.

A western Pennsylvania state representative is reportedly drafting legislation to kick Joe Biden off of the ballot because he says the president is responsible for an insurrection.

“We have to fight back and fight fire with fire. No longer will we stand by and allow the left to continue to weaponize this judicial system and our electoral system,” State Rep. Aaron Bernstine told Newsmax’s The Chris Salcedo Show. “We say no more.”

This is largely in response to a lawsuit in Colorado that successfully removed Trump from the ballot and Maine’s secretary of state invoking the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause to also disqualify the former president from running for office again. The lawsuit in Colorado, however, was actually filed by a lifelong Republican, as Reuters reported

“I am old enough to remember the Depression, World War Two, two other wars, recessions, good times, bad times, and lots of presidents,” Norma Anderson told Reuters. “But never have I seen what happened on January 6th, I knew who was guilty immediately.”

Bernstine is not buying it. He refers to January 6th as a “totally made up insurrection” and says it is actually President Biden who is guilty of orchestrating an “insurrection pouring across the border” that is “letting military aged men” into the country.

That’s why he has hatched this harebrained scheme to draft a bill, which still hasn’t been written yet. He was also welcomed on Dom Giordano’s radio show to share his plans with local listeners. Even if he drafts the legislation, it will never see the light of day as it is highly unlikely to get out of the state House, never mind Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro stands as a firewall against this type of insanity.

Bernstine made a name for himself in 2020 when he thought it was funny to share a video on Snapchat of him making his then 5-year-old son smoke a cigar and use foul language. You can read more about this video and other acts of stupidity by the Republican here. Remarkably he was reelected after this news surfaced.
