Two Bucks County nonprofits will be hosting three local bands for “Band Together for a Cause” at Puck Live in Doylestown on Saturday evening. The goal for the event organized by Stand Up for Justice Education Fund and Stage United is to make a difference in the Central Bucks education system, as well as the live music landscape in Bucks County.

“As a team, we wanted to transcend the normal fundraising event by demonstrating the intersectionality of local music and local education,” Stage United founder Joe Montone. “Each artist performing has a strong connection to each other through CBSD [Central Bucks School District].”

The goals of both local organizations are to help bring more resources to communities in the county. Stage United was launched to help promote local bands who are performing live music in the area, while Stand Up For Justice highlights teachers and educators in the Central Bucks School District who are using different strategies to create respectful, inclusive environments for students while also actively fighting against bigotry and bullying.

The three bands performing for the event are the Pajammies, Dtown Outliers and Class Act. The Jammies are all students from Central Bucks East, while guitarist/vocalist Steve Bercik and bassist Keith Sinn for Dtown Outliers are both teachers at East. Class Act is a seven-member band, with each member being an educator in the district.

“Between the celebration of our incredible CB educators and vibrant performances by local bands, the spirit of collaboration will undoubtedly shine bright,” says co-organizer and co-founder of Stand Up For Justice Heather Reynolds. “And being able to host the event at Puck, an amazing local venue, elevates the event with its unique charm, making this a truly unforgettable night.”

The event will start at 6 p.m., and tickets can be purchased from here: https://givebutter.com/ng5LxE.
