Mitzvah Circle to Host Grand Opening of New Lansdale Facility

“We’re thrilled to be opening our forever home, where we’ll be able to serve local neighbors in need,” said founder Fran Held.

Mitzvah Circle, a nonprofit helping over 295 thousand people meet their basic needs each year, recently announced that they will celebrate the grand opening of their new, permanent home at 435 Doylestown Road, Lansdale, PA on Wednesday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m..

Fran Held, founder and Executive Director of Mitzvah Circle, will be joined by staff, volunteers and more than a dozen local, state and federal officials to celebrate the occasion. Over 400 community members have also registered to attend.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our forever home, where we’ll be able to serve local neighbors in need,” said Held. “This 24,500 square foot facility will allow us to mobilize more than 4,000 local volunteers to help over 300,000 people each year.”

According to a press release put out by State Sen. Maria Collett’s office, “Mitzvah Circle is dedicated to closing the gaps between what government assistance covers and what families in crisis really need by delivering clothing, soap, diapers, period products, school supplies, and other necessities across southeastern Pennsylvania. This new 24,050 square foot campus will allow the organization to serve more people more effectively.”

Parking will not be available at the facility for the event, but shuttles will run from the Home Depot at 751 Horsham Rd to Mitzvah Circle between 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m to get attendees to the event. Any additional questions can be sent to info@mitzvahcircle.org

On their website, Mitzvah Circle says that it, “was created to fill the gaps, to provide items that are not covered by government assistance.” Clothing, toothpaste, and diapers are a few of the items the organization provides that are not covered by government assistance. According to their website, in 2023 Mitzvah Circle distributed over three million diapers and served over 73 thousand families.
