Bucks County’s cat-themed brewery and a local Girl Scout troop are teaming up to sell cookies to pair with the brewery’s Girl Scout inspired beers. The Adventures in Scouting beers will be released Jan. 16 after the partnership with Girl Scout Troop 2888 was a huge success in 2024.
The brewery will be releasing their second annual Adventures in Scouting beers to support Troop 2888, who will be selling cookies on release day. Folks can purchase the Bitchin’ Kitten’s limited edition beers — Cinnamon Roll Winter Warmer, Lemon Sour Ale, Chocolate Stout with Caramel & Toasted Coconut, and Peanut Butter Brown Ale.
“Due to the popularity of the beers in 2024, we had to bring it back” said Michael Crosson, owner of Bitchin’ Kitten. “This is such a fun beer to brew as it gives back to a local organization and gives people a fun way to indulge in Girl Scout cookies compared to the typical beer pairings.”
The Bitchin’ Kitten opened in Morrisville in October 2021, inspired by what the owners call “a very unfriendly cat named Shadow.” The brewery, which sells cat-inspired beers and cocktails, will feature a cat in a Girl Scout uniform on their Adventures in Scouting beer cans.
In 2024, Girl Scout Troop 2888 approached The Bitchin’ Kitten about doing a cookie pairing after the troop’s partnership with a previous brewery fell through. When Troop 2888 approached Crosson about partnering, he decided to design four unique beer recipes to pair with the cookies.
Each beer recipe is brewed to complement the Girl Scout Cookie it was inspired by. The four recipes pair with the Girl Scout’s Peanut Butter Sandwich, Toast-Yay, Caramel deLite, and Lemonade cookies.
“Part of our corporate mission is to support our local community and charitable organizations, so we were excited to partner with GSA,” Crosson said.
Crosson said his sister was a Girl Scout and reached the Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouts. Crosson described the Gold Award as the equivalent of reaching Eagle Scout, “only cooler,” and explained his sister completed survival training on a remote island in Michigan and herded cattle on horseback for two weeks in Wyoming.
“There are not a lot of organizations that can provide that kind of life changing experience to young girls,” Crosson said. “So we whole-heartedly embrace GSA and their mission to help and nurture young women.”
Crosson said he hopes to sell a lot the first day and hopes to see the same success for Troop 2888. Last year, the troop had gone through over half of their stock of cookies by the end of January due to the large support from the community.

Crosson said the styles have remained the same from last year with subtle flavor enhancements “to deliver a well balanced beer.” Of the returning flavors, Crosson said, Peanut Butter Brown Ale, seemed to be the favorite with Cinnamon Roll Winter Warmer as the next most popular.
“At the end of the day we’re making beer, so the beers need to stand alone as solid beer styles,” said Crosson. “Matching them with the cookies heightens the overall tasting experience.”
The brewery is offering the opportunity for a limited-edition four pack of beer and four boxes of Girl Scout Cookies for $50. Cookies and beer will be sold until supplies last and are expected to sell out due to the success of last year. Patrons can also pre-order on the brewery’s website.
Patrons can stop by during the brewery’s operating hours Wednesday through Sunday to enjoy the Adventures in Scouting beers alongside a box of cookies.
