Local bands and musicians are set to serenade strolling residents and visitors alike on Saturday in Newtown Borough’s as a way to celebrate and showcase local bands and talent.
Newtown Porchstock, a free event, is a walkable music festival where front porches, front yards and driveways will be transformed into “stages,” according to The Newtown Experience event page.
“We know that visitors travel for unique events and live music, and Porchstock presents an opportunity to attract tourists from outside the region and drive economic impact. In 2024, Bucks County welcomed a record-breaking 8.4 million visitors, generating $1.3 billion in total economic impact. These visitors dined at local restaurants, explored our attractions, and experienced the hospitality that makes Bucks County such a special place to visit,” said Paul Bencivengo, Visit Bucks County president and CEO.
During Netwon Porchstock, visitors are invited to bring folding chairs and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks to enjoy. While in Newtown, consider enjoying a meal at any of Newtown’s restaurants and cafes.
Downtown streets will not be closed during the event. As musicians are performing free of charge, patrons are encouraged to “tip” them during the event. There is no rain date.
