You can celebrate the “Queer New Year” Saturday at the Lower Bucks Rainbow Room, located at 334 S. Bellevue Ave., Langhorne. Doors open at 5pm, and the show starts at 6pm. Reserve your free ticket online now, at tinyurl.com/RRQueerNewYear. Queer youth get ticket priority.
The Planned Parenthood Keystone’s Rainbow Room has provided a safe space for queer youth for the last 23 years. It has remained an essential resource and a home for queer residents of Bucks County at both its Doylestown meeting location and its newer Lower Bucks location. The organization hosts weekly meetings for youth from 14 to 21 years old, which opens its doors to 12 and 13 year olds once a month. Youth aged 10 to 14 can now also find community in weekly Roy G. Biv meetings.
The Rainbow Room hosts shows, concerts, and art marts in addition to its regular programming. Fan favorite, “Queer Prom,” will return in February, with early bird registration available at “Queer New Year.”
According to the Rainbow Room, “Queer New Year is not just a concert – it’s a whole vibe.” The event will feature live music performed by bands Kulfi Girls, Froggy, and Double Dose, and Philadelphia drag performers Mx. Mossteria and Salaam Kitty will be hosting.
Tickets are expected to sell out, so if you’re looking to celebrate the end of this year with music, art, and community, reserve your free ticket as soon as possible.
“Support queer creativity. Take something beautiful home. Start your year surrounded by community and care.”
