Weekend Picks: Fall Festivals Galore

FRIDAY

Happy Decorative Gourd Season! Bucks is home to all kinds of festivals this weekend as we enter fall, lots of them featuring a plethora of outdoor activities. But for those who prefer the interior, definitely check out the Bucks County Books Fest, which kicks off today and runs all through the weekend.

SATURDAY

And now to the festiivusses for the rest of usses. The New Hope Arts & Crafts Fest is now in its 27th year and runs for two days. Meanwhile. the 71st (what? how!) Tinicum Arts Fest gets underway, and so does Langhorne Porch Fest, a neighborhood fest featuring live music on a series of porches. (These things are always really fun, no matter where they’re happening.)

Doylestown Music Fest has been underway all week and culminates in a free outdoor concert on Saturday Sept 25th from 11am-8pm in the borough’s Dommel Way parking lot (beside Starbucks). DMF is a grass roots event that supports and promotes local bands and musicians. Simultaneously, there’s also the 1st Ever Food Truck Fall Fest at Doylestown Central Park. (Check out their latest LP below.)

Amidst all of this, you definitely wanna check out some of Bucks County’s favorite sons, Illinois, playing the Distance Picnic Series, also in Doylestown.

SUNDAY

Finally, wrap up the weekend with Sunday afternoon’s Queer Prom Fundraiser concert in Doylestown. It’s a great cause, and there’s a great big entertainment lineup on deck.

Independent media is essential, especially in an election year. It strengthens our democracy and holds our leaders accountable.

We keep voters informed through our in-depth coverage, and make it easy for our readers to be prepared to cast their vote.

And it wouldn’t be possible without you.
