Look no farther for food truck fare, yard games, miniature golf, a beer garden, live music and more at the Falls Township Food Truck Festival and Touch a Truck event beginning on Friday at 6 p.m. and rolling through Saturday.
Visitors can purchase food from area food trucks and groove to live music from House Party. Visitors 21 and older can purchase alcohol to benefit the Fairless Hills Fire Department.
The event will be held at the Falls Township Community Park, located at 9050 Mill Creek Road in Levittown. Event proceeds benefit Pennsbury School District’s Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs).
On Saturday at 9 a.m., dozens of large trucks, excavators, towing vehicles, emergency response vehicles and different heavy machinery equipment will be on hand.
A sensory friendly “quiet hour until 10 a.m.” will be in place, when trucks will not use flashing lights or blow their horns, an event organizer press release said.
Look for balloon artists; bounce houses, a photo booth and scavenger hunt. Food and beverages will be available to purchase.
Jeff Boraski, a Falls Township supervisor, leads the Touch a Truck event, providing youngsters a chance to learn about different types of vehicles, and their uses and functions, the press release said.
From construction, electrical, farming, manufacturing and first responder trucks, the event which began in 2017 has accrued sponsor donations of about $144,220 to a variety of charities.
“We never really intended it to raise the funds we’ve raised,” Boraski said, noting that the first year netted about $1,000 for charity. “I’m proud that we did that. The things like this that are good are the things that I’m going to miss,” said Boraski, who will complete his final year as a Falls Township supervisor.
“There’s stuff for everybody,” Boraski said. “Even big kids like me.”
In case of rain Saturday, Touch a Truck events will be held on Sunday, September 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
