She joins Bob Harvie, Tracy Hunt and Rob Strickler in the race to take on inumbent Republican Brian Fitzpatrick.
One of those is first-term U.S. Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, R-Pa., whose victory for the Allentown-area seat last year was among the narrowest in the nation.
“It’s time for Brian Fitzpatrick to put up or shut up,” said Harvie, who is seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge Fitzpatrick in Pennsylvania’s First Congressional District.
“I’m running to be the fighter the 143rd district deserves,” said Hayes, who if elected in the May 19 Democratic primary will face off against Republican incumbent Shelby Labs.
