Projects aim to further increase visits and healthy outdoor recreation opportunities for county residents and visitors.
On March 6 at the Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, the Doylestown-based nonprofit will hold a dinner and awards presentation to celebrate young people, their achievements, and a decade of service programs.
The renovated Boone Farm in Middletown Township will open as a permanent museum in 2025.
“The hope is to foster a better understanding of who our local immigrant community is, what challenges they face and how we can be more welcoming and understanding as a community,” said Doylestown Borough Manager John Davis.
The February 18th event in Doylestown seeks to “turn down the temperature” and promote fact-based, meaningful dialogue around diversity, equity and inclusion and critical race theory.
“As Americans, we cannot stand by while Trump dismantles democracy, undermines civil rights, and attacks the rule of law,” said protest organizer Laura Foster.
Participants of Indivisible Bucks County’s action delivered a unified message to the elusive congressman who doesn’t hold public in-person town halls: “You’re our representative. Get to work and fix this.”
From volunteers and donations to matching up resources with those who need them, local homeless advocate organizations work to build partnerships.
“It’s no surprise that billionaires and corporate special interests who are funding a dark money group are thanking Brian Fitzpatrick,” said Bob Harvie, Bucks County Commissioner.
The 34th Annual Ukrainian folk festival on August 24, landing on Ukrainian Independence Day, will be honoring Bobby Pietrangelo of Hilltown and Corey Nawrocki of Lansdale, who both recently lost their lives fighting as soldiers for Ukraine.
“These are our neighbors, colleagues, parishioners, our students – the cruelty with which this is happening and the pace is unacceptable. And a lot of people feel that way,” said Bucks County’s Barbara Simmons.
He is also enlisting FBI, AFT, ICE, DEA, and U.S. Marshals Service agents to assist in his plans to purge the city of its homeless population and crack down on crime.
“When communities lose access to independent journalism, transparency erodes, civic engagement declines, and government becomes less accountable to the people it serves,” said Rabb.
