The Bucks County Beacon is creating a directory to feature local businesses that share progressive values. Help us pick a name and suggest businesses you think should be included!
Education: Morrisville High School, degrees in both Humanities and Cultural Anthropology
Current Occupation: teacher in the Morrisville School District and the Bucks IU FabLab
Public Service: Student representative on the school board, in the inaugural years of Youth in Government to learn about elections and local politics
Community Involvement: Member and part of the Compass Fellowship Baptist Church (previously First Baptist) community for over the last fifteen years. Solid Rock Youth Center, running sound equipment for Winterfest concerts for all these years. Also volunteer to manage Tech Team for the church. Running Mega Sports Camp for over a decade, a week-long free summer sports camp at Williamson Park open to younger kids
Key Issues: Cares deeply about education and setting kids up for the future. “While the Borough Council doesn’t directly involve itself in matters of the school, I believe in a working relationship between our local leadership and the school board to create more opportunities in town for student growth and family support, and that the community still has a responsibility to provide resources and programs to enhance our childrens learning experience to achieve success.” Also says he wants to bring transparency back to local government.
