“The Catholic Church has never been an innocent bystander in the history of white supremacy,” said University of Dayton Professor Shannen Dee Williams, author of the 2022 history of American Black Catholic nuns, “Subversive Habits.”

Following the release of the Bucks County DA report last week over the February Quakertown student protest and local law enforcement’s response, The Peace Center plans August listening circle sessions aimed at shared understanding and mending the Upper Bucks community.
