“We can’t let unchecked profiteering destroy our communities,” said Bucks County state Rep. Jim Prokopiak, HB 914’s prime sponsor.
Communities across the state are demanding to know how proposed data centers would affect their electric and water bills, landscapes and quality of life.
Despite skyrocketing demand driven by data center development, the industry says it is not the cause of increasing costs for consumers.
Parents, advocates and concerned community members continue to wait for answers from the DA’s investigation.
“Southeast Asians have never faced this level of ICE detention and deportation over the last 20 years,” said VietLead Executive Director Nancy Nguyen.
“Trump’s ICE has proven that it is dangerous and out of control. [This] vote is a vote for cruelty, kidnapping, violence, unaccountability and corruption,” said Public Citizen Co-president Lisa Gilbert.
“This investment will have a meaningful impact by providing seniors, workers and members of the disability community with greater access,” said Bucks County Transport CEO Jim Raymond.
“Although I love pride events that are just celebrations, I wanted to put together something where you could feel like something was being done,” said D20 Burlesque Founder Anja Keister.
Some of the proclamations for the newly branded months define families in a ways that exclude LGBTQ+ people.
