On March 6 at the Spring Mill Country Club in Ivyland, the Doylestown-based nonprofit will hold a dinner and awards presentation to celebrate young people, their achievements, and a decade of service programs.

“Diversity, equity and inclusion, that’s code in the mouth of the president for Black people,” said Jacqui Lewis, senior minister at Middle Collegiate Church in New York City and author of the forthcoming book “The Just Love Story Bible.”
“The hope is to foster a better understanding of who our local immigrant community is, what challenges they face and how we can be more welcoming and understanding as a community,” said Doylestown Borough Manager John Davis.
This was part of a nationwide response in locales across the country to oppose Trump’s actions since taking office, which legal scholars say are putting the country in a “constitutional crisis.”
“We are all looking for some kind of hope; for someone who has been successful in taking on the far right,” said Barbara Simmons, executive director of The Peace Center in Langhorne.
