“This is a nationwide crisis, and a pattern that is happening everywhere. This is urgent. People get used to what happens, and we don’t want to get used to this – it isn’t Okay,” said Put People First! PA’s Heather Schumacher.
The shooting Wednesday occurred during one of his trademark appearances at a college in Utah.
“Regardless of where the money comes from, this makes our communities more dangerous because it deteriorates the trust of police and crimes will go unreported,” said Project Libertad Executive Director Rachel Rutter.
High school teachers in Pennsylvania and Virginia said some students had already stopped showing up in the spring, fearful they would be arrested on campus.
“The future of our democracy rests in the hands of the next generation. But if they’re not well-informed or prepared, it’s likely they won’t participate at all,” said state Rep. Tim Brennan.
The Greene County towns are believed to be the first in the state to use the emergency declaration in relation to drinking-water contamination.
If a book or an activity offends their narrow and extreme beliefs, it’s not enough for Christian Nationalists to not read the book or take part in the activity – they try to stop everyone else as well.
