Rep. Liz Cheney says that many of her party members are too weak to vote against Trump. Once again, Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick has proven to be one of those weak Republican members of Congress.
Last week Capitol Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell stated he hasn’t forgotten Jan. 6, despite GOP lawmakers “downplaying” it.
“When you have multiple number of rioters attacking you, taking turns beating you up and then you have a lot of the people who we protected on that day downplaying what happened. Sometimes I run into them in the hallway and then they pretend not to see me. They ignore me or bolt to the right or to the left or pretend to be doing something else,” said Gonell, who was severely injured in the attack on the Capitol.
He added that the only Republicans who have acknowledged him are Rep. Adam Kinzinger and Rep. Cheney.
Rep. Fitzpatrick, a former member of the FBI and a “supposed” strong advocate for law enforcement, won’t even acknowledge members of the Capital Police Force (CPF)?
It doesn’t matter that eight members of the CPF died because of the violence that day. Fitzpatrick’s deliberate avoidance of members of the CPF clearly identifies him as a strong proponent of the right-wing Republican agenda which denies the severity of the bloody January 6th insurrection and disregards the vital role the CPF played that day. If public servants save your life, you should at the very least acknowledge them.
Members of local Bucks County Law Enforcement should not endorse Rep. Fitzpatrick. He has proven he doesn’t have their back.
