Doylestown Democrats to Host ‘Four Comic Blast of Laughs’ on February 24

Fun and politics go hand-in-hand for local Democrats gearing up for Pennsylvania’s 2023 municipal primary races.

Doylestown Democrats will host a “Funny Fundraiser” featuring a “Four Comic Blast of Laughs” at the Comedy Cabaret Comedy Club February 24, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Connor O’Hanlon, Chair of the Doylestown Democrats and host of the Greater Society Podcast, told The Beacon that the evening “is an event to bring the community together for a laugh,” but also an opportunity to learn more about upcoming municipal races.

In addition to comedy, the evening is a “low pressure way to help the Doylestown Dems recruit, train, and help candidates for the 2023 election cycle including, the Central Bucks School District School Board, Doylestown Township Supervisors, and Doylestown Borough Council races,” he said.

The evening’s entertainment includes Joe DeVito, whose TV appearances include The Late Late Show (CBS), Last Comic Standing (NBC), Comedy Central, DryBar TV, along with comics Lisa Riley, Tim Conniff, and Dr. Scarpati.

The club, located atop Poco’s Restaurant and Bar at 625 North Main Street in Doylestown, has been voted the best comedy venue in Bucks and Montgomery Counties for 30 years in a row.

Tickets are $25 and available for purchase here.
