Women seeking accurate and up-to-date information about reproductive health care in Pennsylvania need look no further than the Commonwealth’s new Freedom to Choose website.
On Monday, Shapiro appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to discuss how Pennsylvania is protecting a woman’s right to choose and to announce the online health care guide.

The website’s launch closely coincided with the controversial ruling of U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk in Amarillo, Texas to eliminate access to mifepristone, one of two drugs used to terminate a pregnancy.
“Your rights and freedoms here in Pennsylvania have not changed — you can get a safe, legal medication abortion using mifepristone in our Commonwealth,” said Democratic Governor Shapiro in a press release.

Part of a nationwide Reproductive Freedom Alliance to safeguard abortion access and protect abortion providers, the website details critical information for women seeking care including finding a provider and funding options for treatment.
“My Administration is exploring every possible action we can take to keep medication abortion accessible, expand access to reproductive care, and continue safeguarding the freedom to choose — including defending abortion access as a party to Friday’s federal court ruling in Washington state under the leadership of Attorney General Michelle Henry,” Shapiro said.
