LGBTQ+ youth and adults, surrounded by family and friends, kicked off LGBTQ+ Pride Month 2023 in Doylestown Thursday evening. The pride event led by youth of Planned Parenthood Keystone’s Rainbow Room and co-sponsored by the Doylestown Pride Festival, the Borough of Doylestown and the County of Bucks, drew over 100 people. It started with youth speeches and a Pride flag raising on the lawn of the old Bucks County Courthouse. Participants then walked together to Doylestown Borough Hall for a second flag raising with Mayor Noni West, PA State Senator Steve Santarsiero and PA State Representative Tim Brennan. Rainbow Room youth will also take part in Pride flag raising next week with the North Penn School District and Yardley Borough. Info can be found on their socials at @PPRainbowRoom. All are welcome.
