Last year, I had the honor and privilege to serve in an interim capacity on the Lower Makefield Township Board of Supervisors. During that time, I not only gained firsthand insight into what it takes to be a dedicated public servant, but I also developed a greater appreciation for those who serve our community as elected officials. One individual stood out as an invaluable resource, mentor, and advocate for our community — Perry Warren, our State Representative for Pennsylvania’s 31st House District.
Perry Warren embodies what it means to be a public servant. From the moment I stepped into my role on the Township Board, Perry was there to guide me, helping me navigate the complexities of public service. He was generous with his time, sharing insights from his own experience on the Newtown Borough Council and his perspective as our current State Representative. He taught me how to make the most of my time serving the community as a strong, effective advocate.
Through what Perry taught me, I gained a deeper understanding of how he represents those of us in his State House district. His dedication to effective and compassionate representation is something I witnessed personally, something I admire, and it’s what makes him such an asset to our district.
One of Perry’s most notable qualities is his unwavering commitment to supporting small businesses and local economies. In an era where small businesses often face overwhelming challenges, Perry has consistently championed policies that create a more favorable environment for entrepreneurs and small business owners. His efforts have helped ensure that businesses in our community not only survive but thrive, providing jobs and supporting families across the district.
Perry’s broader legislative record speaks volumes about his priorities: protecting the environment, promoting public safety, and supporting Pennsylvania families.
He has been a strong advocate for our state’s waterways, sponsoring legislation that safeguards our natural resources for future generations. Additionally, his leadership on flooding issues has been particularly critical in the last two years, especially after the flooding that struck multiple Bucks County communities last July, leading to significant property destruction and tragic loss of life. Perry, working with Governor Josh Shapiro and our State Senator Steve Santarsiero, advanced legislation to make flood insurance more accessible and affordable, a vital step in protecting our community.
Moreover, Perry has advocated for our safety by serving as a leader on gun issues, working to close loopholes in existing laws. His efforts have been instrumental in making our communities safer, ensuring that we have stronger, more effective laws to protect our families.
Beyond the policies and legislative victories, what truly sets Perry Warren apart is his deep commitment to the people he serves. He understands that being a representative means more than just casting votes— it means being a voice for the community, listening to concerns, and taking action to address them. Whether it’s at Harvest Day, the Newtown Holiday Parade, our Veteran’s Day celebrations, or Eagle Scout Courts of Honor, Perry is active and engaged in our community every day.
As we approach the next election, it is crucial that we keep leaders like Perry Warren in Harrisburg — leaders who not only understand the issues we face but who are also willing to roll up their sleeves and work tirelessly on our behalf. Perry has proven time and again that he is that leader.
I urge you to join me in supporting Perry Warren for re-election. Let’s ensure that our community continues to have the strong, effective representation it deserves.
