POWER Interfaith Bucks and Children First PA will be co-hosting an event “to advocate for full and fair funding for Pennsylvania’s public schools” May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Bristol Township School Administration Building.
“Parents and school officials will share firsthand experiences of how chronic underfunding impacts their schools, while advocates will call on legislators to meet their moral and constitutional obligation to invest in every child’s future,” according to a press release. “This event is part of a larger statewide movement to hold elected officials accountable to their court-ordered obligation to fully and fairly fund public education.”
The speakers include PA State Repesentatives Tina Davis and Jim Prokopiak, Bristol Township Assistant Superintendent Chris Polzer, Rev. Bill Bloom of the United Christian Church of Levittown, and Children First K-12 Education Policy Director Priyanka Reyes-Kaura. POWER Interfaith Bucks County’s Melody Katz will moderate the discussion.
