Bucks County Community College has a new way to ease the student enrollment process this fall.
The Destination Bucks program will allow students — both current and prospective — to have “streamlined” access to one-on-one meetings with an advisor for registration help in August.
Joe Giuffre, BCCC interim director of advising, said that staff will be ready to help students navigate steps for the upcoming school year.
“After a similar successful event for the spring semester, we’re bringing it back for the fall,” Giuffre said. “Students can meet with an advisor, take placement tests, learn about financial aid, register for classes, and much more, while getting ready to advance their academic career.”
How to get involved
The program runs on weekdays from August 10-24 on Bucks County Community College’s three main campuses: Lower Bucks, Upper Bucks and Newtown. Current and prospective students also will have access to live advising services online.
Timeslots are limited and available online to secure an entry time to the advising event. Staff will be able to speak with 20 students per hour at each of the locations.
The college asks that participants bring either a photo or student ID and have questions prepared in advance about selected programs or courses.
