Morrisville School District seeks applicants to fill a board vacancy, with the interim term ending December 6, 2027.
The opening is a result of former Morrisville board Member Stephanie Schmidt, who resigned her elected position on June 30, 2026.
Sara Stern, Morrisville school board secretary, offered a description of the ideal and compelling candidate to fill the district’s board vacancy.
“I feel that a good board member is someone who listens, reviews the information provided to them, and asks questions so they can make informed decisions that are best for the school district and Morrisville community,” Stern said.
How to apply:
Candidates eligible to apply must be at least 18 years old and have lived in the district for at least one year prior to their start date.
Prospective candidates should send letters of interest via email to Elaine Eib at eeib@mv.org, acting superintendent of Morrisville School District.
Applicants can either send letters by or send a physical copy to Morrisville School District, 550 West Palmer Ave., Morrisville, Pa. by 3 p.m. July 27.
All applicants will receive an interview time with the option of attending in person or virtually after application letters are collected.
“We look forward to interviewing anyone interested in serving on the board in the coming weeks,” Stern said.
