While he is consistently ranked as the most bipartisan member of the House and chairs the Problem Solvers Caucus, his voting record reflects a strategic balance: he frequently crosses party lines on social issues and animal welfare but remains a reliable vote for GOP leadership on high-stakes procedural measures, Speaker elections, and key fiscal legislation. Now residing in Middletown Township, his 2026 campaign emphasizes his unique ability to navigate a hyper-polarized Washington.
