Brian Fitzpatrick

Seeking Office: Representative in Congress

Party: Republican

Primary Ballot: Republican

District: 1st Congressional District

Incumbent

Bio:

Brian Fitzpatrick is a Levittown native, former FBI Special Agent, and Federal Prosecutor currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District. A graduate of Bishop Egan High School, La Salle University, and Penn State, Fitzpatrick spent nearly 15 years in federal law enforcement before entering Congress in 2017. While he is consistently ranked as the most bipartisan member of the House and chairs the Problem Solvers Caucus, his voting record reflects a strategic balance: he frequently crosses party lines on social issues and animal welfare but remains a reliable vote for GOP leadership on high-stakes procedural measures, Speaker elections, and key fiscal legislation. Now residing in Middletown Township, his 2026 campaign emphasizes his unique ability to navigate a hyper-polarized Washington.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, LaSalle University; Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA), Pennsylvania State University; Graduate of the FBI Academy.
Occupation: U.S. Representative; former FBI Special Agent and Federal Prosecutor.
Key Issues: Brian Fitzpatrick positions himself as a leader in government reform and bipartisan cooperation, focusing on term limits for Congress and the “No Budget, No Pay” act. Drawing on his FBI background, he was a primary architect of legislation linking border security with global defense funding for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, highlighting a focus on national security and global stability. While he supports measures like the SAVE Act for proof of citizenship in voting, Fitzpatrick’s record on reproductive rights is marked by strategic crossovers, such as protecting cross-state travel for healthcare while opposing the codification of Roe v. Wade. Notably, he has broken with his party to protect social safety nets, recently voting against significant cuts to SNAP and Medicaid, and continues to be a national leader in animal welfare, recently earning “Legislator of the Year” honors from major animal rights advocacy groups.
