On Oct. 3, the candidates in this key swing state will meet for their first debate in Harrisburg.
The lawsuit accuses Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo of violating state election law and it claims her policy will “lead to irreparable harm to the voting rights” in the county.
Republicans in the committee opposed the bill that would guarantee all workers employed in the state would earn one hour of paid leave for every 40 hours worked and could use up to 40 hours of leave per year.

The Democratic vice presidential nominee can be expected to effectively remind voters at Tuesday’s debate how women’s reproductive freedom is on the ballot in November.
It’s a practice known as ballot gathering – or ballot harvesting — that’s been a source of national controversy over the years.
The event “allows our YWCA to honor our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, and also to raise much needed funds to support the programs and services that support women, girls, and families here in Bucks County.”
Throughout this election cycle, polls in the swing states have shown bipartisan support for abortion rights, especially when voters are educated about what abortion bans do.
