James S. Dunn Jr.

Seeking Office: Mayor

Party: Republican

Primary Ballot: Republican

District: Richlandtown Borough

Bio:

Education: Bucks County Community College
Current Occupation: Business Admistration
Public Service: Planning Commission Richlandtown Borough 22 years, Quakertown Area Planning Commission member 12 years, Borough Councilman 2 years, Mayor Richlandtown Borough 8 years.
Community Involvement: Historical Society Richlandtown Borough Member 15 years
Key Issues: “One of the issues throughout the borough is speeding. Due to not having a police force, we need to rely on State Police. They have been helpful, but very stretched. I would, with the permission of Council, reach out to PennDOT to review their options. I tried this eight years ago without success, so I will definitely be hoping for a better response. Communication with residents will also be a priority. Council is currently reviewing alternative ways. I will go door to door to get current contact information and send out texts/emails if the residents approve. Finally, I would work with the Parks & Rec Committee, to research grants and fundraisers to improve the residents experience when using the borough’s parks.”
