This will be Bucks County Democratic Committee Chair John Cordisco’s last term as head of the party.

“After 20 fulfilling and challenging years with the Bucks County Democratic Committee, I will not be seeking another term as Chair of the BCDC,” Cordisco wrote in a letter to local Democrats Friday.

The party’s reorganization will occur within the month following the May 17 primary election when Democratic Committee members and chairs will elect a new leader.

“What John Cordisco did for the Democratic Party, in Bucks County, will be seen with gratitude for generations,” County Commissioners Diane Marseglia and Bob Harvie stated.

Cordisco may be stepping down, but he is not stepping away.

“I vow to remain involved in the Democratic Party as I have for the entirety of my life and I look forward to supporting the Bucks County Democrats throughout this critical transition,” he said.
