Women’s reproductive freedom is on the ballot locally in the congressional race between Democrat Ashley Ehasz and anti-choice Republican incumbent Brian Fitzpatrick.
Today’s voter education event begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Bensalem Shopping Plaza parking lot.
“I stand ready to debate, because I am ready to lead. Are you, Brian?” Ehasz asked.
The event featured local speakers and organizations who addressed the upcoming election, the stakes involved, and the implications of Project 2025.
The environmental group pledges to turn out its scores of volunteers to help elect the candidate who will actually protect “families’ health, air and water” and “build a clean energy economy that works for the people of our Commonwealth.”
“Voting rights. Civil rights. LGBTQ rights. Women’s rights. Not just access to abortion. Access to contraception. All of those things are on the ballot,” said Newsom.
Reproductive rights defenders will gather and call out Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick’s voting record that repeatedly fails to support a woman’s right to choose.
Ehasz was joined by PA House Speaker Joanna McClinton, State Rep. Brian Munroe, and former Planned Parenthood of Bucks County CEO Linda Hahn.
Saturday’s events serve to underscore the critical importance of electing officials committed to safeguarding women’s reproductive health care in Bucks County and throughout Pennsylvania in the upcoming November elections.
Claiming the Democratic congressional candidate is pro-Hamas is “nothing new in a Republican party which gave ‘swiftboating’ its definition,” said Newtown Democrats.
Democracy is on the ballot in November and Bucks County Democrats are wasting no time making sure voters are aware what’s at stake.
