“The Trump administration’s attempt to condition Title X funding on political allegiance is a grave threat to public health,” said Sara Rose, deputy legal director at ACLU of Pennsylvania.
“As Nicole’s story shows, she experienced a constant pattern of cruel and inhumane treatment from inadequate nutrition denial of prenatal and postpartum care,” said Evelyn Mangold Nukal, a staff attorney at the Women’s Law Project.
“This is not innovation; it is a catastrophic greenhouse gas smoke screen,” said Wayne David Bell, Falls Township resident.
“Our taxpayers deserve to know if their tax dollars are reaching the students they are intended to help and students deserve to receive the scholarships for which they qualify,” said state Rep. Nikki Rivera, the bill’s sponsor. “H.B. 2632 provides the transparency needed to make that a reality.”
Parents and staff were “blindsided” by the decision to shutter the service.
