The departments of Health and Human Services, Agriculture and Housing and Urban Development have worked to usher in stricter employment conditions to receive health care, food aid and rental assistance benefits funded by the federal government.
At issue is the Department of Health and Human Services’ declaration that called treatments like puberty blockers, hormone therapy and surgeries unsafe and ineffective for children and adolescents whose gender expression doesn’t match their sex assigned at birth.
