A school board run by Moms for Liberty members, who secretly seek advice from a right-wing Christian law firm, has subverted the First Amendment and effectively banned books under the pretense of weeding out old, obsolete titles.
The new school board member’s blatant display of Three Percenter anti-government militia insignias have also raised concerns in the community.
They are not just MAGA culture warriors banning books and fomenting anti-LGBTQ hysteria and hate. They are part of a national network of right-wing activists on a crusade to dismantle public education.
This was a talk given to Indivisible Philadelphia about the impact Moms for Liberty and other aligned extremist groups have had on parents, teachers, and students in Central Bucks School District and surrounding Bucks County districts.
Pride is being able to showcase the beauty of diversity and at the same time feeling comfortable and safe to do so.
Leadership Institute founder Morton Blackwell, who is also behind the Council for National Policy, has advocated for abolishing public schools and replacing them with “free-market private schools, church schools, and home schools.”
As we celebrate Pride Month, we must not forget the struggles and resistance of our elders before us when being LGBTQ+ was dangerous – because it is becoming dangerous again.
The Bucks County Government must step up and demonstrate its support for the Roosevelt Boulevard Subway by passing a resolution.
“These communities in Bucks County were built for working-class people, and for decades it stayed that way. But since 2017, rent has gone up in our region by 50 percent,” said Prokopiak.
“Regardless of where the money comes from, this makes our communities more dangerous because it deteriorates the trust of police and crimes will go unreported,” said Project Libertad Executive Director Rachel Rutter.
The Greene County towns are believed to be the first in the state to use the emergency declaration in relation to drinking-water contamination.
At the National Conservatism Conference last week, Wilson was a featured speaker along with members of Congress and Trump’s Cabinet, including border czar Tom Homan, budget director Russell Vought and Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri.
“We have witnessed the devastating consequences of these types of devices, and the loss of life is nothing short of heartbreaking,” said York City Council President Edquina Washington.
