With the weather finally reaching 80 degrees this week, families in Bucks County are beginning to go out to enjoy the fresh air. Thanks to Stage United, a nonprofit created to bring greater access to live concert experiences into communities, those who are interested can see two free concerts in Doylestown as part of the organization’s Concert at The Commons series. Those concerts will be taking place on Thursdays in May, starting May 1 and ending May 29. They will be taking place at the Broad Street Commons in Doylestown, PA, right across from Borough Hall. Both concerts will go from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
“Stage United features artists that make us feel at home, in venues that define our home,” says Joe Montone, founder of Stage United. “It is an honor to have these opportunities to bring captivating live concert experiences to our region.”
The concert on May 1 will feature live music, food trucks, and local beverages. Mo Lowda & The Humble, a world touring progressive indie rock outfit with Bucks County roots, will headline the first night. Dave Woodard, Bucks County Deputy Sheriff and musician, kicks off the evening with fresh takes on funk, blues, and rock classics. Acclaimed local food trucks Jules Thin Crust and Kona Ice will be on-site for this family-friendly event with drinks from Artifact Brewing. Stage United and Bozzuto Group will present this free concert programming with support from C&N Bank. For more information, visit: doylestownborough.net/news.

The concert on May 29 will be headlined by Jarod Clemons & The Late Nights. Currently charting an electrifying path as a frontman and songwriter, Clemons is the youngest son of E Street Band saxophonist and Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer Clarence Clemons. Starting the show is the soulful Americana sounds of Bucks natives, Fallon’s Religion.
“The vision for Broad Commons Park has always been to create a vibrant hub for our entire community,” says Caitlin Hernandez, director of Parks & Recreation in the Doylestown Borough. “Designed with the goal of supporting local businesses, artists, and community groups, the park truly comes to life through initiatives like Concerts at the Commons. We’re thrilled to partner with Stage United to bring these performances to the Borough.”
Stage United will be hosting one more concert in Doylestown this month, although attendees must get tickets in advance. Picnics On Pine, created during the Covid-19 Pandemic and now going on five years in the Doylestown Borough, transforms Pine Street into a neighborhood amphitheater with a block party atmosphere. Featured artist Don McCloskey takes the stage, while a Jenkintown-based chef, Jasper’s Sunrise BBQ, will feed the audience. Picnics On Pine also features an expanded craft market for their 5th season. Tickets and more information can be found at picnicsonpine.com/tickets. This concert will begin at 4:30 p.m.
